Hello and good day! I'm Carlus! I'm from the Philippines, where I was born and raised and currently living.

I would consider myself an introvert. Despite this, I love to talk and ask questions. I love to travel, spend time with my friends, eat and try new cuisines, and surf the Web. Since I am a Social Studies major, I can use this as an opportunity to become more open-minded about other cultures and share about cultures without judgment but with an open mind.

I joined the field of English as a Second Language for almost two years. Teaching English developed into one of my passion. Whenever some of my friends and family members needed to have their English grammar checked, I would be approached by them and asked if the grammar or vocabulary was correct. Because I'm Filipino, English has been an advantage as it is one of my country's official languages. Since kindergarten, most of the subjects taught to me were in English except for subjects Filipino and Social Studies, which in Tagalog is called Araling Panlipunan. The fact that English was everywhere also helped me along with most Filipinos. I consider myself good at the latter since it's about history and culture. As mentioned, I am a university graduate with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies.

As far as my work experience involving English goes, I taught English to Chinese and Vietnamese people of all ages online. Whether you're fluent or not fluent in English, I can help you become more confident in speaking English on a day-to-day basis. With me as your teacher, learning English will be fun, exciting, and lively. I'm looking forward to working with and meeting you.

自分では内向的な性格だと思っています。にもかかわらず、私は話したり質問したりするのが大好きです。旅行したり、友達と過ごしたり、新しい料理を食べたり試したり、ネットサーフィンをしたりするのも大好きです。私は社会学を専攻しているので、これを機会に異文化についてもっとオープンマインドになり、判断せずにオープンマインドで文化について分かち合うことができます。

英語を第二外国語として教える仕事に就いて約2年になります。英語を教えることは私の情熱のひとつになりました。友人や家族が英文法のチェックを必要とするたびに、私は彼らに声をかけられ、文法や語彙が正しいかどうか尋ねられたものです。私はフィリピン人なので、英語は国の公用語のひとつであることが強みでした。幼稚園の頃から、タガログ語ではアラリン・パンリプナンと呼ばれるフィリピン語と社会科を除けば、ほとんどの教科を英語で教わった。英語がいたるところにあったことも、ほとんどのフィリピン人と同じように私を助けてくれた。後者は歴史や文化に関することなので、私は得意だと思っています。前述の通り、私は大学で社会学を専攻し、中等教育学士号を取得しました。

英語に関わる仕事の経験としては、オンラインで中国人やベトナム人のあらゆる年齢の人たちに英語を教えていました。英語が流暢な方でも、そうでない方でも、日常的に自信を持って英語を話せるようになるお手伝いをします。私と一緒に英語を学ぶことで、楽しく、エキサイティングで、生き生きとしたものになるでしょう。あなたと一緒に働き、お会いできることを楽しみにしています。
